We are a community of colleagues collaborating to provide its resources in a variety of venues. The stewards of this ministry are Emily Wilmer and the Rev. David G. Keller
Emily Wilmer has over fifteen years experience as a spiritual director and is an experienced retreat leader. She completed the two-year course in individual spiritual direction at The Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington, DC. She is a published poet, most recently in Lifting Women’s Voices, Prayers to Change the World and the forthcoming fall issue of INKWELL, literary journal of Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
“When it comes to prayer, there is terrain that is both knowable and mysterious. Emily Wilmer is one of the best I’ve ever met at understanding and embracing both. She is a remarkable woman of prayer herself who is called to support others in this journey.” (Tom Allen, Co-Executive Director, City House, Minneapolis, MN)
David Keller is co-founder and director of The Contemplative Ministry Project and the author of Oasis of Wisdom: The Worlds of the Desert Fathers and Mothers and Come and See: The Transformation of Personal Prayer. Formerly steward of the Episcopal House of Prayer at Saint John’s Abbey, Collegeville, MN, he is now an Adjunct Professor of Ascetical Theology at The General Theological Seminary in New York City.
“David Keller is one of the church’s contemporary spiritual elders, full of wisdom, love and practical advice.” (Tilden Edwards, Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, Washington, DC)
“His approach is gentle and pastoral, always firmly anchored in the traditional Christian affirmation of prayer as a loving and ever-deepening relationship with a personal God. Like the shepherd of Psalm 23, David ‘leads us beside still waters’ and ‘revives our souls.” (Cynthia Bourgeault, author of Chanting the Psalms)
